Sometimes making state machines can be a bit overwhelming, especially if you are still new to using them. Fortunately, Lottie Creator comes with a specialized LLM that can build state machines for you from prompts.

Prompt to State Machines can be located next to the Play button in State Machines Mode. You can simply chat with it to get your desired state machine.

You will, of course, need to already have your animation with segments set up.

This example is for a simple button UI element. It already has three segments for idle, hover, and click. Keeping everything clearly named and organized will help the AI be more effective in creating your state machine.

Here are a few best practices for writing good prompts:

• Clearly explain the starting conditions of your state machine, such as indicating the beginning state or any other info, like the length of time-sensitive segments
• Describe the state machine in a step-by-step basis, taking time to explain each step
• Clearly indicate when a state needs to return back to a previous state (like hover on/off)
• Use element and segment names as they appear in Animate Mode
• Make sure elements and segments are properly named and organized
